This went pretty well, and I'm glad that we were able to organize a crew and get equipment smoothly.
I tutored students who needed extra help with schoolwork and class material. This showed me that helping others can strengthen the community. Tutoring helped students build confidence and improve in school, and it made me want to keep supporting education in the future.
While this student’s project was about flowers and not youth vaping, it still allowed me to exercise some of the skills meant to be practiced through the Civic Seal, like bonding with members of my community and building connections with people I never would have connected with otherwise. In this way, it was a very meaningful experience that I would be happy to do again.
This experience was meaningful because it gave me the opportunity to work with younger students and make a positive impact in their learning. It strengthened my communication, leadership, and teamwork skills while teaching me the importance of being patient and adaptable. Reflecting on this experience helped me appreciate how small acts of service can benefit others. My feedback is that continuing to provide more interactive activities and opportunities for students to participate would make the lessons even more engaging and effective.
